In HALO 3 RECON they are obviously changing the atmosphere of the game. In the trailer it is very dark, raining, and mysterious. The maps that they use in the trailer is more what I imagined halo 3 to be like. I thought that most of the fighting action was going to be centered around towns and with civilians involve. In Finish the Fight I thought that it was going to be the last battle of “the world” as we know it as the covenant drops down and tries to take over Earth. I’m not going to lie I was slightly disappointed when this was not the case.

Therefore I am excited to play in a devastated city in Halo 3 Recon. But the outer armor of the marine has definately been changed. I cannot decide if I like it yet. It reminds me more of the counter terrorists on counter strike, it has more of a S.W.A.T. team gear feel to it. I’m not discriminating against it just yet but I am saying that what makes the halo unique is the individualized gear all of the characters wear. Is it wise to change his appearance now?

I just hope that it isn’t going to be dark like that all the time because if I have to wait for my flashlight to recharge every 30 seconds it might get old. Hopefully that is not the case, I like the light.
